Christian Atsu nears Bournemouth loan switch?

Newly-promoted Bournemouth are reportedly close to signing Chelsea winger Christian Atsu on a season-long loan basis.

Bournemouth are reportedly on the verge of securing the services of Chelsea winger Christian Atsu on a season-long loan deal.

The 23-year-old spent last term on loan with Everton, but he was used sparingly by Toffees boss Roberto Martinez.

He is still not an immediate part of Jose Mourinho's plans at Stamford Bridge, which has brought about the interest from Eddie Howe at Bournemouth, according to Sky Sports News.

Earlier today, the broadcaster captured video footage of the Ghana international at Bournemouth's training ground, which has resulted in suggestions that a deal is close to completion.

Atsu joined Chelsea from Porto in 2013, but he is yet to make a senior appearance for the West Londoners.
