Jose Mourinho delighted with Chelsea evolution

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho reveals that he is elated with the evolution of his side since he returned to the club last season.

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has admitted that he is delighted with the progress his side have made under his tenure since his return to the club last year.

The 51-year-old marked his return to the Blues following a six-year absence with a 2-0 win over Hull City on the opening day of the 2013-14 season.

Mourinho feels that his team now are unrecognisable from the one that played at Stamford Bridge in August last year.

He told reporters: "We're a completely different team. There has been evolution in the quality of our game and evolution in many individuals after so many weeks of work.

"We are a better team. I hope the result can be the same. We are better and I think Hull are with the great work Steve [Bruce] is doing."

Chelsea face Hull in their Premier League match at the Bridge later today.
