Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic has admitted that he is impressed with manager Jose Mourinho following the team's return to pre-season training.

The Blues met up with the returning Portuguese boss on Monday as they got their preparations underway for the new Premier League campaign.

"We had our first meeting with Mourinho," Ivanovic told B92. "He looks very impressive which is very pleasing.

"I think that with him in the future, Chelsea will act as a team, but we will also improve individually."

Chelsea will start the league season with a home fixture against newly-promoted Hull City on August 17.
