Chelsea captain John Terry 'to return to training on Tuesday'

Chelsea captain John Terry will reportedly return to training on Tuesday as he steps up his recovery from a hamstring injury.

Chelsea captain John Terry is reportedly expected to return to training on Tuesday following a spell out with a hamstring injury.

The former England international has been absent from the Blues' last two games after he picked up the injury during his side's 5-1 victory over Newcastle United on February 13.

According to the Daily Mail, Chelsea have received a boost as Terry is expected to take part in training with his teammates tomorrow.

The 35-year-old may not be risked for this weekend's Premier League match against Southampton, but the defender could make his return against Norwich City on March 1.

Barring any setbacks, Terry should be back in the team for the visit of Paris Saint-Germain to Stamford Bridge for the second leg of their last-16 clash in the Champions League.

Chelsea trail 2-1 from the first leg.
