Burnley manager Sean Dyche confirms that Ben Mee will be unavailable for the upcoming Brentford match due to injury.

Burnley defender Ben Mee is set to miss the upcoming fixture with Brentford, according to Sean Dyche.

The 32-year-old last played during the 2-0 loss against Leicester City on March 1, where he had to be substituted due to injury, and he was unavailable for the recent outing against Chelsea because of it.

"We thought it was a knock, a very tiny hairline kind of situation on his fibula, which is non-weight-bearing but still needs taking care of. It is just that if you get another knock then it damages it further," Dyche told the press.

"It is a real blow to him and a blow to us because we thought it was just a knock and it ended up being more than that, though it is not anything too drastic.

"It just needs a little extra time to calm down. The break will benefit him."

Burnley could move out of the Premier League relegation zone with a victory this weekend, depending on other results.
