Eddie Howe "delighted" with late Bournemouth equaliser

Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe praises striker Kenwyne Jones for scoring a late equaliser in the team's 1-1 draw with Ipswich Town on his debut.

Eddie Howe has admitted that he was "delighted" with Bournemouth's late equaliser against Ipswich Town in their Championship match this afternoon.

Kenwyne Jones scored on his debut for the Cherries, earning them a 1-1 draw with Mick McCarthy's side to keep them in the automatic promotion places.

"Kenwyne is always going to be a presence but he is more than that, he has good feet," BBC Sport quotes the manager as saying.

"He can be very important for us and he scored a very un-Bournemouth goal if you like.

"I was delighted as we don't come back from losing positions very often but I still think we should have won the game, had we been more clinical in front of goal."

Bournemouth are in action again on Monday when they host Birmingham City.
