Paul Ince unhappy with Matt Phillips sale

Blackpool manager Paul Ince admits his disappointment at the sale of Matt Phillips to Queens Park Rangers.

Blackpool manager Paul Ince has admitted that he was disappointed to see Matt Phillips depart the club last week.

The Scottish international signed a four-year deal with Queens Park Rangers on Friday having made more than 100 appearances for the Tangerines.

"To lose him is a big blow to me. I'm not happy and I'm sure the fans aren't," Ince told BBC Sport.

"But Matty had a year left and he wasn't prepared to sign a new contract. When an offer comes in for that type of money, business is business. He's gone and I wish him all the best because he's been fantastic for us."

Blackpool currently sit second in the Championship table.
