Blackpool boss Paul Ince confirms that the neck injury sustained by Barry Ferguson is not as serious as first feared.

Blackpool boss Paul Ince has revealed that Barry Ferguson has been given the all-clear after suffering a neck injury in the club's defeat to Peterborough United on Saturday.

The former Scottish international left the pitch on a stretcher after clashing with teammate Isaiah Osbourne, but Ince has been confirmed that the injury is not as serious as first thought.

"The scan came back okay. It's great news. It was a big concern when he went down for so long. You always think the worst," Ince told the Blackpool Gazette.

"These Jocks are soft, aren't they? I'd never have got on a stretcher!"

Blackpool currently sit 17th in the Championship table.
