Fleetwood Town announce loan deal for Blackpool's Barry Ferguson

Fleetwood Town confirm that Blackpool midfielder Barry Ferguson has joined the club on a loan deal from Bloomfield Road.

Fleetwood Town have signed Blackpool midfielder Barry Ferguson on a three-month loan deal.

Reports had claimed that the League Two side were close to clinching the former Scotland captain and the 34-year-old will be available for the side's FA Cup tie against non-league side Bromley at Highbury tomorrow.

Chairman Andy Pilley told the club's official website: "Barry is fantastic coup of the football club and a massive signing. His footballing credentials are second to none and this is a huge, huge day for Fleetwood Town."

Ferguson moved to Broomfield Road from Birmingham City last year.
