Watford lead Blackpool 2-0 at Bloomfield Road, thanks to goals from Ikechi Anya and Troy Deeney.

Watford are leading Blackpool 2-0 at half time in the Championship clash at Bloomfield Road.

The away side took the lead after just four minutes, Ikechi Anya sliding the ball under Matt Gilks to finish off a swift counter-attack.

Watford came close to doubling their lead two minutes later when Matěj Vydra raced into the penalty area, though Alex Baptiste cleared just in time.

The Hornets did grab a second after 21 minutes through Troy Deeney, who got on the end of a floated free-kick to stab the ball into the back of the net.

The half time whistle blew with Watford deservedly leading 2-0.
