Henning Berg officially confirmed as Blackburn Rovers manager

Blackburn Rovers confirm that Henning Berg has agreed to replace Steve Kean as the club's new manager.

Blackburn Rovers have announced that former player Henning Berg has agreed to become the new manager at Ewood Park.

The 43-year-old was expected to be confirmed as the Championship outfit's new boss following the departure of under-pressure Steve Kean.

The club announced on their official website that the Norwegian, who was sacked by Lillestrom in 2011 and has been carrying out media work since, will be unveiled in a press conference tomorrow.

Former Tottenham Hotspur boss Harry Redknapp was believed to be in the running for the position but the club's Indian owners are thought to have been impressed by Berg during the interview process.

Berg was part of Blackburn's Premier League-winning side in 1995.
