Jonathan Grounds signs new Birmingham City deal

Defender Jonathan Grounds extends his contract with Championship side Birmingham City until the summer of 2017.

Jonathan Grounds has become the latest player to have signed a new contract with Birmingham City.

The defender's previous deal at St Andrew's had been due to expire at the end of next season, but he has now committed his future to the Championship club until the summer of 2017, with the option of a further 12 months.

Grounds, 27, joined the Blues on a free transfer last summer following his release from Oldham Athletic.

Other senior squad members to have also signed new deals with Birmingham recently include Clayton Donaldson, Paul Caddis and Demarai Gray.
