Birmingham City complete club-record Jota deal

Birmingham City complete the club-record signing of Jota on a four-year deal from Brentford.

Birmingham City have completed the signing of Jota from Brentford in a club-record deal.

The fee for the 26-year-old remains undisclosed, but Birmingham have confirmed that Jota is their most expensive signing ever, eclipsing the £6m fee paid to Valencia for Nikola Zigic.

The Spanish attacker has put pen to paper on a four-year deal at St Andrew's, keeping him at the club until 2021.

Jota, who scored 23 goals in 78 games for Brentford, could make his debut for Birmingham against Norwich City after the international break.
