Barcelona striker Lionel Messi has extended his contract at the Nou Camp until June 2018.
The 25-year-old's initial deal at the Catalan club was due to expire in 2016 but he has chosen to commit his future to Barcelona for an extra two years.
The Argentinian has achieved unrivalled success in his time at the club, scoring 287 goals in 354 appearances.
During that time, Messi has won five La Liga titles and three Champions League trophies, while also picking up multiple individual awards.
Messi recently broke Gerd Muller's record for scoring the most goals in a calendar year.
