Barcelona midfielder Ivan Rakitic has revealed that he is in fresh contract talks with his Spanish club, despite the fact that the Croatian's current deal still has more than three years left to run.
The 27-year-old joined Barcelona from Sevilla in the summer of 2014 and scored eight times as the Spanish giants won the treble last season.
Rakitic is contracted to Luis Enrique's team until the summer of 2019, but it appears that he will be given a more lucrative package in the coming weeks.
"I have a contract until 2019, but we already started negotiating about renewal," Rakitic told 24 sata.
The Croatian international has scored three times in 29 appearances for his club this season, but his spot in the team is now under threat from Arda Turan.
