Valencia are closing in on the loan signing of Barcelona attacker Rafinha, according to a report.

Barcelona are reportedly prepared to loan Rafinha to Valencia despite their injuries in the final third.

The Spanish champions are currently short of options in attack, with Ousmane Dembele and Luis Suarez both on the sidelines.

Rafinha was a second-half substitute against Athletic Bilbao last weekend, with the 26-year-old making his 88th appearance for the Catalan giants at San Mames.

However, according to Marca, Barca are open to loaning the Brazil international out before the transfer window closes, and Valencia are in pole position to land the versatile attacker.

The report adds that Ernesto Valverde's side will look to renew Rafinha's contract - which expires next summer - before allowing him to leave.

The South American, who has also been linked with Fiorentina, has missed a lot of football over the last couple of seasons due to two separate knee injuries.
