Barcelona reportedly add two superstar forwards to their list of potential signings for the summer transfer window.

Barcelona are reportedly mulling over whether to make a big-money approach for a superstar forward during the summer transfer window.

The Catalan giants currently possess one of the best attacks in world football with 64 goals being scored in their 23 La Liga fixtures under Hansi Flick.

Lamine Yamal, Raphinha and Robert Lewandowski are the undisputed front three when everyone is fit, yet club officials are having to consider their options in the market.

Although Lewandowski is in line to sign a contract extension, the Poland international turns 37 years of age in August and will eventually need to be replaced.

Despite Barcelona remaining in a poor financial situation with regards to the regulations, that has not stopped an ambitious outlook to the transfer market.

Which strikers are Barcelona targeting?

As per Sport, Viktor Gyokeres and Alexander Isak are the two forwards that have been identified as potential signings.

In the case of Gyokeres, he is in the second year of a legendary stint at Sporting Lisbon, contributing 77 goals and 22 assists from his 85 appearances in all competitions.

However, there is the consensus that the Sweden international will be allowed to leave for a fee in the region of £60m and £70m later this year.

The report suggests that Barcelona could attempt to take advantage of their strong working relationship with Sporting, with Barcelona retaining 50% stake of a future sale of Francisco Trincao.

Furthermore, it is claimed that Sporting also hold an interest in Barcelona attacker Vitor Roque, who is currently on loan at Real Betis.

With Premier League clubs lurking and ready to hand the former Coventry City man a return to English football, Barcelona may be of the understanding that there only chance to sign Gyokeres is this summer.

A less realistic option...

Isak, meanwhile, will be viewed as a far more ambitious alternative with Gyokeres's Swedish compatriot having netted 48 goals from 74 outings in the Premier League.

Previous reports have indicated that Newcastle are ready to demand in excess of £100m for the versatile attacker, a figure that Barcelona cannot afford.

The Magpies are also prepared to put up more of a fight to retain Isak's services, despite both players having contracts until 2028.
