Preview: Almeria vs. Atletico Madrid

Sports Mole previews Atletico Madrid's trip to Almeria in La Liga on Wednesday.

Atletico Madrid can put an end to their winless run of two matches on Wednesday night when they travel to Almeria in La Liga.

The defending champions, who are already four points adrift of leaders Barcelona, have had an indifferent start to the defence of their title with two victories and two draws so far.

Their confidence was dented even further last week as they opened their Champions League campaign with a 3-2 defeat at Olympiacos.

Meanwhile, hosts Almeria can make it two wins from two following their 2-1 triumph away to Real Sociedad on Sunday.

Francisco Rodriguez's side are currently in 10th position in the table, but another win on Wednesday could propel them into the Champions League places.

Atletico will be without Mario Mandzukic after the striker broke his nose in midweek, while Cristian Rodriguez remains sidelined. Corona misses out for Almeria, who are also without the suspended Sebastian Dubarbier.
