Report: Borja Lopez to join Rayo Vallecano on loan

A report claims that Monaco centre-back Borja Lopez will join Rayo Vallecano on loan.

Monaco centre-back Borja Lopez is reportedly close to joining Rayo Vallecano on loan.

The 19-year-old started his professional career with Sporting Gijon, where his performances earned him a move to French outfit Monaco at the start of the season.

The Spaniard is yet to make a first-team appearance for the Ligue 1 side, however, and according to Cadena Cope, Monaco are keen to send the defender on loan for the remainder of the season.

Rayo are believed to lead the queue for his services, with the deal expected to be completed before the end of the week.
