Thomas Vermaelen signs Barcelona contract

Thomas Vermaelen completes his move from Arsenal to Barcelona by signing a five-year contract at the Camp Nou.

Thomas Vermaelen has finalised his move from Arsenal to La Liga outfit Barcelona.

The Spaniards confirmed yesterday evening that they had reached an agreement with the Gunners to sign the Belgium international.

Today, in the presence of president Josep Maria Bartomeu and sporting vice-president Jordi Mestre, the 28-year-old signed a five-year contract at the Camp Nou to bring an end to his five-season stint in the Premier League.
