Spanish defender Marc Bartra has signed a new long-term contract with Barcelona.
The centre-back, who has been with Barcelona since the age of 11, has enjoyed a breakthrough season at the Camp Nou – making 21 appearances in all competitions.
The 23-year-old's previous deal was due to come to an end in 2015, but he has now penned terms until the end of June 2017.
It is understood that the contract has been agreed for some weeks, but Bartra finally put pen to paper in the presence of sporting vice president Jordi Mestre and sporting director Andoni Zubizarreta on Tuesday afternoon.
