Arsenal are reportedly poised to launch a bid for Liverpool winger Stewart Downing.
The Gunners attempted to sign the 28-year-old from Aston Villa last year, but were outbid by the Reds, who paid the Midlands club £12m.
However, the player has started just two Premier League matches this season and is said to be surplus to requirements at Anfield.
According to the Daily Mail, Arsenal are ready to offer Liverpool £10m for Downing.
Downing has been capped 34 times by England at senior international level.
