Sports Mole picks out its Premier League team of the week.

Manchester United leapfrogged Manchester City at the top of the Premier League table this weekend as they came from behind to defeat Queens Park Rangers 3-1 at Old Trafford.

Despite remaining unbeaten, champions City were held to a goalless draw at Chelsea, who were under the watchful eye of new interim manager Rafael Benitez.

There was joy for Southampton near the foot of the table as they saw off Newcastle United 2-0, while fellow strugglers Aston Villa earned a valuable point against an under-par Arsenal.

Here, Sports Mole picks out its Premier League team of the week.

Wojciech Szczesny (Arsenal)
Plenty of Arsenal supporters were disappointed with their draw at Villa Park, but it could have been a lot worse were it not for the Polish shotstopper.

Pablo Zabaleta (Man City)
Zabaleta was a dynamic force on the right for the champions in their draw at Chelsea.
Jonny Evans (Man Utd)
The Irishman heroically got United back on terms during Saturday's win over QPR and gave a composed performance in defence.
Robert Huth (Stoke)
It was another smash-and-grab display from the Potters in their win at Fulham and the burly Huth proved to be a rock at the back.
Sebastian Bassong (Norwich)
Bassong was the Canaries' saviour at Everton thanks to his late equaliser in their 1-1 draw.

Jose Enrique (Liverpool)
A new move to the left side of midfield has suited the Spaniard and he gave another solid display in Sunday's draw at Swansea.
Darren Fletcher (Man Utd)
Fletcher's health problems look to be well behind him as he scored his first goal in over a year against QPR.
Zoltan Gera (West Brom)
The Hungarian scored a fine goal and was a tireless presence in midfield as the Baggies continued their heady climb up the table at Sunderland.
Jordi Gomez (Wigan)
His own fans were jeering him earlier in the match, but three goals and three points later against Reading and Gomez was a hero at the DW Stadium.

Jermain Defoe (Tottenham)
The England international was at his lethal best as his brace helped Spurs on their way to a comfortable win over West Ham.
Javier Hernandez (Man Utd)
The Mexican changed the game in United's favour when he was introduced during their their victory against QPR.
