England Under-19 attacker Reiss Nelson is on the verge of signing a new five-year contract with Arsenal.

England Under-19 attacker Reiss Nelson is reportedly on the verge of signing a new contract with Arsenal.

Nelson has been with Arsenal since the age of nine, and made 16 first-team appearances for the Gunners during the 2017-18 campaign.

The 18-year-old signed his first professional contract with the London club in 2016, but according to The Sun, he is close to penning a new five-year deal with Unai Emery's side having impressed during pre-season.

Nelson, who made his Premier League debut against Crystal Palace in January, was on the scoresheet in Arsenal's 2-0 win over Lazio in Sweden on Saturday night.

Emery's team will open their 2018-19 Premier League season with a mouthwatering clash against the champions Manchester City on Sunday afternoon.
