Manchester City are reportedly set to beat the likes of Barcelona and Arsenal to the signing of Ghanaian starlet Henry Oware.
The 18-year-old centre-back plies his trade with Ghanaian top-flight outfit West Africa Football Academy, who are currently fighting to avoid relegation.
According to the Daily Mail, Man City are set to sign Oware for €1m (£840,000), subject to international clearance, before immediately loaning him out to sister club Troyes in Ligue 1 ahead of the 2022-23 campaign as he is currently ineligible to play in England.
The report adds that City Football Group have been scouting the defender for two years and are now expected to beat Barcelona, Arsenal, Lille and Red Bull Salzburg to recruit the talented teenager.
After being promoted to the West Africa Football Academy first team as a 16-year-old, Oware has since made a total of eight league appearances this season.
Pep Guardiola's side are also set to announce the signing of 17-year-old Brazilian winger Savio from Atletico Mineiro.
