Manchester City are reportedly set to rival Chelsea in the race to sign West Bromwich Albion starlet Jamaldeen Jimoh.
The 15-year-old midfielder has impressed at youth level for the Baggies and has already been capped by the England Under-16 national team.
Chelsea were understood to be leading the race for Jimoh, with one report claiming that they were hoping to conclude a deal "as soon as possible".
However, The Sun reports that Man City's recruitment team are confident of thwarting the Blues' pursuit and luring him to the Etihad Stadium.
The report adds that West Brom expect Jimoh to leave the club for a transfer fee, with the two Premier League giants set to battle for the midfielder's signature.
Chelsea have recently added youngsters Dylan Williams and Mason Burstow to their ranks from Derby County and Charlton Athletic respectively, while City have been strongly linked with Brazilian duo Savio and Yan Phillipe from Atletico Mineiro.
