Barcelona attacker Philippe Coutinho is wanted by Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal on loan in January, according to a report.

Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly both considering making loan moves for Barcelona attacker Philippe Coutinho during the January transfer window.

The Brazilian is available once again following a long-term knee injury, but he has found it difficult to secure regular action in the early stages of the campaign, playing just 106 minutes across three matches.

Ronald Koeman's side are believed to be determined to shift the playmaker in January due to his substantial wages, and according to El Nacional, both Arsenal and Spurs are keeping a close eye on the situation.

The report claims that the North London pair are eyeing loan moves, with Barcelona prepared to pay half of his £200,000-a-week contract.

The 29-year-old has only played 82 minutes of La Liga football this season, starting the 1-1 draw with Granada on September 20 before appearing off the bench in the goalless draw with Cadiz three days later.

Coutinho scored 54 goals and registered 45 assists in 201 appearances for Liverpool before joining Barcelona in a big-money deal in January 2018.
