Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey says that his side have recovered following their "weird" start to the season.

Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey has said that his side have recovered following their "weird" start to the season, having lost just once in all competitions since the start of September.

The Gunners ended August with successive defeats to Liverpool and Stoke City respectively, and were hampered by the exit of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain to the Reds and the uncertainty surrounding the futures of Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil.

"The Liverpool game was a difficult one for us," Ramsey told Sky Sports. "We had players who then moved to Liverpool in the next game, and players who were still unsure what was going on.

"It was a weird time for us. As a team we were not quite at it 100%. I don't know if these things affected it, but they couldn't have helped.

"We have done really well recently and are full of confidence, creating many opportunities. We are delighted with the way we have been playing of late."

Arsenal face Premier League leaders Manchester City on Sunday having qualified for the knockout stages of the Europa League on Thursday.
