Two stoppage-time goals from Stefano Denswil and Mario Balotelli meant AC Milan held Ajax to a draw at the Amsterdam ArenA in the Champions League this evening.
Ajax were looking to take advantage of being at home following their defeat to Barcelona in the first round of games, but they were unable to find the breakthrough against their Italian opponents in the first half.

In a drab opening 45 minutes, it was Viktor Fischer who had Ajax's best chance when he fizzed an effort wide of Christian Abbiati's post after 17 minutes.
Milan were unable to ever get going, but Balotelli awoke them from their slumber when he rattled a long-range effort against the crossbar, after goalkeeper Jasper Cillessen got the faintest of hands on it after 68 minutes.
With the game seemingly heading to a goalless draw, Denswil pounced in stoppage time to power a header beyond Abbiati.

However, the drama didn't stop there as Balotelli went straight up the other end and was fouled in the area by Mike van der Hoorn. The striker dusted himself off to score from the spot to even things up.
