Wales boss Ryan Giggs reveals that Reading midfielder Dave Edwards has decided to call time on his international career.

Dave Edwards has decided to call time on his international career with Wales.

The Reading midfielder has been a regular part of the Wales setup since making his debut in 2007, and the 32-year-old had been expected to feature in Ryan Giggs's first squad when it was announced on Thursday.

However, at a press conference, Giggs announced that Edwards had told him that he had opted to focus his attention on domestic action with Reading.

Edwards has enjoyed a successful period with Wales, with the attacking midfielder failing to appear for his country in just one year of a decade-long spell with the Dragons.

In total, Edwards scored three goals in 43 outings for Wales, although the last of his goals came in a friendly with Scotland back in 2009.
