Tottenham reportedly consider a huge player overhaul in order to fund new deals for Emmanuel Adebayor and Luka Modric.

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly prepared to rid the club of a number of first-team players in order to keep Emmanuel Adebayor at White Hart Lane.

The Premier League outfit are believed to be drawing up a permanent contract for the Manchester City striker, who is on loan at Spurs until the end of the season.

It is thought that a four-year deal at £100,000 a week has been discussed with the 27-year-old Togolese frontman as well as a bonus £4m signing-on fee, according to the Daily Mail.

Reports have claimed that in order to afford this lucrative deal, the third-placed side will have to sell a number of players.

The likes of Vedran Corluka, Giovani Dos Santos and David Bentley could be shown the door in the summer.

Tottenham will also hope to tie down playmaker Luka Modric - who has been linked with a switch to English champions Manchester United - at the end of the season.
