Mauricio Pochettino rules out selling Christian Eriksen, Erik Lamela

Mauricio Pochettino insists that neither Christian Eriksen nor Erik Lamela will be sold before the end of the transfer window.

Tottenham Hotspur head coach Mauricio Pochettino has claimed that the club have no intention of selling Christian Eriksen or Erik Lamela before the end of the transfer window.

It was reported earlier this week that Juventus were considering a move for Eriksen, while club-record signing Lamela has once again been linked with a return to Serie A after continuing to struggle to find his best form last season.

However, Pochettino is confident that both players are happy to be at White Hart Lane for the foreseeable future.

"[Christian] is happy here," the Argentine told reporters. "He has a contract and we keep the best players for the present and future and want to be a good squad for in the next few years to fight for the top four and win the Premier League one day.

"Erik is part of my plans, the team.

"We need Lamela to show his real quality and we hope that this is the season he really shows his quality."

Spurs return to action against Leicester City on Saturday afternoon.
