Tottenham lineup vs. Crystal Palace: Predicted XI for Premier League London derby

Son decision and Maddison milestone: How Spurs could line up against Palace

Sports Mole takes an in-depth look at how Tottenham Hotspur could line up for Sunday's Premier League London derby against Crystal Palace.

Tottenham Hotspur manager Ange Postecoglou should not have captain Son Heung-min back at his disposal for Sunday's Premier League London derby against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.

The 32-year-old sat out the 1-0 win over AZ Alkmaar in the Europa League due to being "a bit sore" after the 4-1 top-flight thrashing of West Ham United, although Postecoglou revealed that it was always the plan to rest him in midweek.

However, the Australian then revealed in his pre-game press conference that Son was still not 100% and therefore unlikely to be available against Palace, and the same goes for groin victim Djed Spence.

All of Timo Werner, Mikey Moore and Wilson Odobert are in contention to replace Son, and the latter may get the nod to join Dominic Solanke and Brennan Johnson up top thanks to Werner's continued goalscoring struggles.

However, one of two players who should hold their spot is stand-in skipper James Maddison, who captained Tottenham to their victory over AZ and is now set to make his 200th appearance in the Premier League.

The Englishman ought to link arms with Yves Bissouma and Dejan Kulusevski in an unchanged midfield from the win over West Ham, while Destiny Udogie is the only other player who should reprise their role from the Europa League.

Fraser Forster impressed in between the sticks on Thursday, but Guglielmo Vicario will now reclaim the gloves, while Micky van de Ven, Cristian Romero and Pedro Porro are also primed to return to the rearguard.

Tottenham Hotspur possible starting lineup:
Vicario; Porro, Romero, Van de Ven, Udogie; Kulusevski, Bissouma, Maddison; Johnson, Solanke, Odobert
