Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappe reportedly has no plans to leave the club in January despite being in the final year of his contract.

Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappe reportedly has no intention of leaving the club in the January transfer window.

Mbappe was involved in his latest transfer saga during the summer transfer window after he revealed that he had no plans of extending his current contract beyond the end of the 2023-24 season.

As a result of his stance, Mbappe was exiled from the first-team setup in pre-season, as PSG looked into the possibility of selling their star striker.

While Saudi Pro League club Al-Hilal had a world-record bid accepted, Mbappe was reluctant to agree to a summer departure.

Although he was subsequently reintegrated back into Luis Enrique's squad, his future continues to be the subject of much speculation.

With his current contract set to expire in June 2024, PSG could view the January market as one last chance to receive a fee for one of their most prized assets.

However, according to L'Equipe, the France international is keen to stay at the Parc des Princes in the winter transfer window.

Despite showing a willingness to see out the remainder of the season with PSG, there is still uncertainty surrounding his long-term future with the club.

The 2018 World Cup winner continues to be linked with a move to Spanish giants Real Madrid in the summer of 2024.

While there is a belief that he will complete a switch to the Santiago Bernabeu, Mbappe still has the option to activate a one-year extension in his PSG contract.

The reigning French champions are also in ongoing talks with the player's representatives over a potential new contract.

Mbappe recently had the chance to play alongside his brother Ethan Mbappe after the 16-year-old came off the bench to make his debut in PSG's recent 3-1 win over Metz.

As for the 26-year-old, he has been in fine form this season, having registered 21 goals and two assists in 22 appearances across all competitions.

Mbappe has now scored 233 goals and provided 100 assists in 282 competitive games since he joined PSG from Monaco in 2018.
