Barcelona midfielder Xavi insists that unsettled Real Madrid goalkeeper Iker Casillas won't be moving to the Catalan club in the summer.

Barcelona midfielder Xavi believes that it is unlikely that Real Madrid goalkeeper Iker Casillas will ever move to Camp Nou.

Casillas has found himself on the bench at the Santiago Bernabeu for the majority of this season, but while speculation persists that he could leave Madrid in the summer, Xavi does not believe that the Spanish international will be joining the La Liga leaders.

The 33-year-old told El Mundo Deportivo: "I feel bad for Iker that he has ended up on the bench and I think it's unfair. I do not think that he will come to Barcelona, though.

"He's a real Madridista. We cannot look beyond that. I would welcome him with open arms, but I cannot see it happen to be honest."

The 31-year-old shot-stopper has made just 19 appearances in La Liga this season.
