Nottingham Forest have reportedly been offered the opportunity to sign Newcastle United winger Christian Atsu.
With Steve Bruce having made three additions during the January transfer window, the Magpies boss is now keen to reduce the numbers in his first-team squad.
Despite Atsu making six starts and 12 substitute appearances in the Premier League this season, the Daily Mail suggests that the 28-year-old could be the man to leave St James' Park.
The report claims that the Ghana international has been offered to Forest, who are keen to boost their squad as they bid to earn promotion to the Championship.
As a result of Newcastle being prepared to accept a loan deal, other clubs may enter the race during the closing hours of the window.
