Jean Corentin scores in the second half to cancel out Gaetan Charbonnier's goal and earns Troyes a point at Montpellier.

Montpellier have been held to a 1-1 draw by Troyes at home in Ligue 1.

The defending French champions surged ahead as early as the eighth minute when Gaetan Charbonnier turned home Daniel Congre's cross.

Troyes took until the sixth minute of the second half to equalise, Jean Corentin latching onto Marcos Dos Santos Ferreira's pass to fire in from outside the Montpellier penalty box.

Souleymane Camara had a good chance to restore Montpellier's lead just after the hour mark, but his header from Henri Bedimo's cross went wide.

The result leaves Montpellier six points off the final Champions League place in seventh.
