Report: Man United have bid for goalkeeper Jan Oblak rejected

Manchester United have a £25m bid for Atletico Madrid goalkeeper Jan Oblak rejected, according to a newspaper report.

Manchester United have reportedly had a £25m bid for Atletico Madrid goalkeeper Jan Oblak rejected.

According to Spanish newspaper Marca, Atletico have turned down the offer for their No. 1, a 22-year-old Slovenia international.

United's Spanish keeper David de Gea, who has been widely linked with a move to Real Madrid, will not start today's Premier League opener against Tottenham Hotspur.

The club's manager Louis van Gaal said during the week that the 24-year old cannot "handle" first-team duties.

Oblak made 22 appearances for Atletico Madrid last season.
