Manchester United reportedly decide against making a move for Tottenham Hotspur's Harry Kane, with the Red Devils instead eyeing new faces at centre-back and midfield.

Manchester United have reportedly decided not to pursue a deal for Tottenham Hotspur talisman Harry Kane this summer.

The England captain is thought to be keen to seek pastures new in search of his first major trophy at club level, but Daniel Levy is expected to resist offers below £150m from interested parties.

Furthermore, with United having agreed a one-year extension with current striker Edinson Cavani, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is expected to prioritise other positions during the summer window.

A recent report claimed that the Red Devils were plotting a £100m player-plus-cash deal for Kane, but The Express claims that such a proposal has been dismissed as 'nonsense'.

The outlet adds that Solskjaer is focusing his efforts on a new centre-back and centre-midfielder after agreeing a deal with Borussia Dortmund for Jadon Sancho, while Mason Greenwood is expected to be handed more opportunities in the middle next term.

Kane has struck four goals at Euro 2020 so far and will lead the Three Lions out for the final against Italy on Sunday evening.
