Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho 'could sell 13 players'

As many as 13 members of Manchester United's first-team squad could leave the club this summer, according to a report from Spain.

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has reportedly placed 13 members of the club's first-team squad up for sale.

The Portuguese is said to be closing on the signings of Eric Bailly and Zlatan Ibrahimovic, while others are expected to follow as the former Chelsea manager begins a new era at Old Trafford.

It is understood that Mourinho will give the majority of players the chance to impress in pre-season, but according to El Confidencial, he has already made a decision on a number of individuals.

The report claims that Memphis Depay, Juan Mata and Ander Herrera will all be sold, while the likes of Bastian Schweinsteiger, Marouane Fellaini, Antonio Valencia and Matteo Darmian are also playing for their futures.

Fringe players Sam Johnstone and Paddy McNair could also be deemed surplus to requirements for the 2016-17 season.
