Chelsea centre-back Andreas Christensen allegedly ends talks to extend his contract at Stamford Bridge, amid reported interest from Barcelona.

Chelsea centre-back Andreas Christensen has allegedly ended talks to extend his contract at Stamford Bridge, amid reported interest from Barcelona.

The 25-year-old has just six months remaining on his current deal and he is at risk of leaving the club for free next summer.

According to Sport, Christensen has told Chelsea that he will make a decision over his future in January as he considers a potential switch to Camp Nou.

The report adds that the Catalan giants have been in talks with the Denmark international for several months, but they will only make a move to sign him if they fail in their pursuit of Juventus defender Matthijs de Ligt.

Christensen, who has spent the last eight-and-a-half years with Chelsea, is also being closely monitored by Premier League trio Manchester City, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur, as well as European giants Juve, AC Milan and Bayern Munich.

The centre-back has made a total of 145 appearances across all competitions for the Blues, winning four trophies including last season's Champions League triumph.
