Manchester United youngster Amad Diallo reportedly suffers an injury in training which is serious enough to force Feyenoord to pull out of a loan move for the winger.

Manchester United youngster Amad Diallo could reportedly stay at the club this summer after an injury derailed his hopes of a loan switch away.

Diallo had been on the verge of joining Eredivisie outfit Feyenoord for the 2021-22 campaign, with Man United eager for the attacker to gain more first-team experience.

Terms had reportedly been agreed between all parties, while Diallo's travel arrangements and medical had also been booked.

However, the 19-year-old suffered an injury in his last training session with Man United, forcing Feyenoord to pull out of the deal.

Feyenoord technical director Frank Arneson revealed the news, telling Dutch outlet AD: "He got injured, it's cancelled.

"Too bad, everything was done. I've talked a lot with the people at Manchester United, but it's more sensible to let him recover at that club. It may be a while before he comes back."

Diallo has made eight first-team appearances for Man United since joining in January 2021.
