Liverpool injury news and return dates for Ipswich clash: Midfielder latest

Sports Mole rounds up all of Liverpool's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Saturday's Premier League clash with Ipswich Town.

Hoping to subject Ipswich Town to a harsh welcome back to life in the Premier League, Liverpool head to Portman Road to tackle Kieran McKenna's men in Saturday's lunchtime kickoff.

The 12.30pm bout represents the Reds' first competitive match under Arne Slot, who oversaw a stellar set of pre-season results, including wins over Arsenal and Manchester United in the USA.

While it has been mainly quiet on the transfer front at Anfield - certainly in terms of incomings - the Dutchman is expected to be working with a near full-strength squad for this weekend's opening scrap.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up all of Liverpool's latest injury and suspension news ahead of their clash with Ipswich, who finished second behind Leicester City in the 2023-24 Championship.

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Back/other
Possible return date: August 17 (vs. Ipswich)

With Dominik Szoboszlai and Andrew Robertson now fit again, Bobby Clark is the only minor concern for Slot to worry about due to his back problem, but the youngster is believed to be on the verge of a £10m move to Red Bull Salzburg anyway.

LIVERPOOL'S SUSPENSION LIST

Liverpool have no players suspended for this match.
