Greuther Furth move off bottom with draw at Frankfurt

Frankfurt miss the chance to climb to second in the Bundesliga.

Greuther Furth secured an away point at Eintracht Frankfurt to climb off the bottom of the Bundesliga this evening.

The home side started quickly, with Alexander Meier putting Frankfurt ahead after just 33 seconds.

Furth fought back after conceding but were unable to get back on level terms before half-time.

Mike Buskens's men were rewarded with an equaliser after 53 minutes through a 20-yard strike from Zoltan Stieber.

The goalkeepers were kept busy in the closing stages as both sides looked for a winner.

The draw means that Frankfurt miss the chance to leapfrog Schalke into second place.
