Roberto Martinez refuses to rule Leighton Baines out of West Ham United clash

Roberto Martinez refuses to rule Leighton Baines out of Everton's match against West Ham on Saturday, despite the left-back suffering with a hamstring injury.

Everton manager Roberto Martinez has insisted that he has not ruled Leighton Baines out of Saturday's match against West Ham United, but believes that the left-back is unlikely to feature.

Last week, the 29-year-old suffered a hamstring problem during a training session with England, which forced him to pull out of the squad for games against Slovenia and Scotland.

"We're checking Leighton on a daily basis," Martinez said in this morning's press conference. "We're not sure if he'll be fit for West Ham but you can never rule him out."

The Merseyside outfit are 10th in the Premier League table after 11 games.
