Chelsea considering striker search?

Chelsea are reportedly considering a move for a new striker in January to help fire them back up the table.

Chelsea are reportedly weighing up whether to target a new striker in the January transfer window amid concerns over Diego Costa's form and relationship with Jose Mourinho.

Costa and Mourinho were involved in an on-pitch row during the Blues' 4-0 victory over Maccabi Tel Aviv in the Champions League on Tuesday night, although the Portuguese manager insisted that the pair had since made up.

However, with Costa having scored just four goals in 17 appearances at club level so far this season, The Guardian claims that they may look to bring another forward to Stamford Bridge in January.

Loic Remy has scored just twice in nine club appearances, while Radamel Falcao has netted just once in 10 games for the side this season, and with them languishing in 15th in the Premier League table, the paper reports that they could be convinced to dip into the notoriously tricky winter market.

The report claims that the club's recruitment department is keeping tabs on West Bromwich Albion striker Saido Berahino's availability, while also considering short-term options such as free agent Emmanuel Adebayor and Fenerbahce's Robin van Persie.
