Team News: Jorginho handed Chelsea debut in Perth Glory friendly

Jorginho is named in Chelsea's starting lineup to face Perth Glory in the Blues' first pre-season outing of the summer.

Summer signing Jorginho has been named in Chelsea's starting lineup to face Perth Glory in this afternoon's pre-season friendly at the Optus Stadium.

The creative midfielder arrived from Napoli earlier this month and is thrown straight into the mix for the Blues' first outing of the summer.

Jorginho will start in a three-man midfield that also contains Cesc Fabregas and Ross Barkley, while young forward Callum Hudson-Odoi is fielded in attack alongside Alvaro Morata and Pedro.

Defence is comprised of Davide Zappacosta, Ethan Ampadu, David Luiz and Marcos Alonso, meanwhile, and Polish goalkeeper Marcin Bulka starts between the sticks.

In terms of the home side, former Chelsea youth product Fabio Ferreira - who spent four years in West London as a youngster - is given a chance to impress.

However, new signings Matthew Spiranovic and former Spain Under-21s international Juande both miss out for the A-League side.

Perth Glory: Reddy, Franjic, Lowry, Neville, Grant, Ferreira, Kilkenny, Djulbic, Keogh, Wilson, Italiano
Subs: Brimmer, Castro, Chianese, Davidson, Harold, Juande, Lee, Mustafa, Santalab, Scott, Stynes, Timmins, Velaphi

Chelsea: Bulka, Zappacosta, Ampadu, Luiz, Alonso, Fabregas, Jorginho, Barkley, Hudson-Odoi, Morata, Pedro
Subs: Collins, Thompson, Aina, Tomori, Hector, Kalas, Emerson, Drinkwater, Palmer, Bakayoko, Pasalic, Piazon, Musonda, Abraham
