Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri insists that he is not looking to replicate his Napoli style at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri has insisted that he is not looking to replicate his Napoli style at the club.

The Italian's footballing philosophy was widely praised during his time in charge of Napoli, with the so-called 'Sarri-ball' system helping the club to push Juventus all the way in the Serie A title race last season.

Sarri's Premier League managerial career got off to a winning start this afternoon courtesy of a 3-0 win over Huddersfield Town, but he played down suggestions that he could create a carbon copy of his Napoli team at Stamford Bridge.

"I have to know the characteristics of the players because I think I don't want to do another Naples," Sarri told reporters at his post-match press conference.

"I want to do a good Chelsea. I have to respect the characteristics of the players, I have to adapt myself to the characteristics of the championship and of the players, so now I am studying my players."

Chelsea's triumph means that they sit top of the Premier League table after the first Saturday of the season.
