Lee Clark: 'We are not safe from relegation yet'

Lee Clark insists that Birmingham City are not safe from relegation yet following a 3-2 win over Millwall on Tuesday.

Birmingham City manager Lee Clark has insisted that his side are not safe from relegation yet, despite picking up three valuable points against Millwall on Tuesday.

A 3-2 victory has edged Birmingham eight points clear of the bottom three in the Championship, but Clark believes that there could still be more surprises in the closing stages of the season.

"We're not safe yet. Until it's mathematically impossible for us to get dragged into it we have to keep going," the Birmingham manager told reporters.

"I see the results the teams in and around us have got this evening and it just tells me it's never over until it's over.

"It's impossible to have a target in mind. Last season showed anything can happen."

Birmingham host Bournemouth in their next game on Saturday afternoon.
