How Barcelona could line up against Athletic Bilbao

Sports Mole looks at how Barcelona could line up in Tuesday's La Liga clash with Athletic Bilbao.

Barcelona will continue their 2019-20 La Liga season with a home game against Athletic Bilbao on Tuesday.

The Spanish champions were held to a goalless draw by Sevilla on Friday night but still sit three points clear of second-placed Real Madrid in the table, albeit with Los Blancos having a game in hand.

Barca have the best home record in the division this season, winning 14 of their 15 matches, remaining unbeaten in the process, while Athletic have only been victorious on two occasions away from home in the league this term.

Here, Sports Mole looks at how Quique Setien's side could line up at Camp Nou.

POSS BAR XI vs. ATH

Out: Ousmane Dembele (hamstring)
Doubtful: Sergi Roberto (rib), Frenkie de Jong (calf)

Barca will again be without the services of Ousmane Dembele due to a long-term hamstring injury, while Sergi Roberto and Frenkie de Jong are doubts with rib and calf problems respectively.

Roberto is allegedly losing his race to be fit for Tuesday's contest, but De Jong is thought to be in a position to return to the starting XI against Athletic.

Setien is expected to shuffle his pack from the Sevilla match, meaning that Arthur and Antoine Griezmann are likely to be handed spots in the starting side.

Luis Suarez played the full 90 minutes at the Estadio Ramon, but the Uruguay international has only just returned from a knee injury, and it seems likely that he will drop back down to the bench for this match.

Ansu Fati, who did not play against Sevilla, could feature on the right of the front three, with Lionel Messi switching to the central spot, allowing Griezmann to operate off the left.

Roberto's expected absence should see Nelson Semedo continue at right-back, and it is expected to be the same back four that started against Julen Lopetegui's side.
